He stepped back to avoid being too close to her... An angered wolf is nothing to be trifled with. "I am simply here for your protection, the last I remember." With her eyes still silvery, a light seemed to hover over her paws in the same color scheme. It almost looked like silvery fire, but Rafael knew it to be magic. "I see you have magic as well, and I am simply hoping that the very existence of this magic is not the reason the vampire king is after you," he went on to say. With a rather large smile, and a rather discouraging laugh, (resulting in something quite strange to see in a wolf)she then commented, "Fool! There has not been a new crowning of vampires! There has not been for centuries! You're telling me that there is now a new one? HA!"

Rafael looked at her with question. "but you even said that you were slave... oh no," he said, and looked at her once more. "Do you even know your name?" With all seriousness, she answered, "I am Amora, daughter of Celestia and Salzar, King and Queen of the wolves. If anything, you should be kneeling out of respect in the presence of royalty!" A deep growl protruded from her lips, and Rafael's eyes widened. "My lady," he started, "if this is true, I would like to see something that has been rumored to symbolize your royal highness and pedigree." It was a sly remark, but it would prove his theory of the family line thustly. "Fine, but if you get out of line-" he interjected respectfully, "I promise that if I seem out of line to you, then I grant you permission to execute any punishment you may have set."

Amora allowed him to see, wondering what it was that he was looking for. On the back of her right shoulder, as was said for the ladies' mark, he parted the fur to see the dark outline of a birthmark. Tracing it fully, he enchanted it to glow fully through her fur. "The stars in heaven," he gasped quietly. It was the symbol that made him gasp so. "The stars in heaven shine upon the wolves who howl at the lonesome moon. The moon, in turn, caresses them as children, and leads them to paradise, Eden," Rafael chanted, the old legend flowing into his mind with eloquent pictures and memories of the stories he was told as a child. The images of wolves howling at a lonesome moon seemed too realistic, and he heard them howling. Opening his eyes, (having closed them in his reverie)he then noticed that Amora was growling, and soon, another wolf was kneeling at her feet. "My queen," the wolf growled, and then saw the mage. "What is he doing here?" the male wolf asked. "Silence," Amora responded, "he is my bodyguard, and you will do well to not question my decision." Rafael looked at Amora, who in turn looked to him then back at her new companion. "Tell me, what forest is this?" she asked, her eyes remaining silver as the smoke around her paws were.

"This is the Nether Forest," the male wolf said. "The Nether Forest," she repeated, and then finished. "What is your name, in case I need to find you?" He seemed honored, and a little cautious at the same time. "Excuse me my queen, but if I tell you my name, how is it that I would know it is you that calls, and not some imposter?" The male had a point, and told him that she would devise a plan. Rafael, who had no trouble understanding them whatsoever, thought up something quick. "What if I make a crystal pendant for all in your pack so that whenever you are near each other, it glows a certain color if it is the real member, and a different color if it is an imposter?" It may not have been his best idea, but Rafael was happy to help in any way he could.

Within seconds, the male had exchanged his name and was gone. Amora's eyes became honey colored again, the magic around her paws dying down, and she wobbled a little more. "Amora!" Rafael shouted, and was at her side as she fell. Rafael was half covered by her body, and he found that she was extremely large in her lupine form. "I summon earth to help me!" he cried out, and the trees helped the mage with her body. "Easy now," he charmed them, "we don't want to hurt her." The limbs very carefully set her down after helping to pick her up off of Rafael. "Thank you," he said to them, and tended to her. Taking Amora back to the campsite, the horse had lain down and was dozing, and the fire was low. Nothing seemed out of place and all was as it had been. But, alas, it was too quiet...too quiet for anything good to be lurking.
